Barrett Stanley is a Greensboro, NC-based artist, writer, and illustrator. He studied painting at ASU and has worked in a wide variety of media from printmaking to film. He began writing and drawing comics in 2013 and his ongoing science-fiction series Heartbreak Quadrant was ranked "Best Indie Comic of 2017" by comics and pop-culture website Bleeding Cool. His comics work has also appeared in anthologies such as Speculative Relationships and $19.84: the Dark Future of Retail, and he creates zines and mini-comics with sci-fi and fantasy themes. In addition to comics, he is currently illustrating the role-playing game Rangers of the Shadow Deep, written by Frostgrave creator Joe McCullough.
