Filipa Estrela (any pronouns) is a queer nerd who loves making crafts, comics, & costumes; often all at the same time. They are a Center for Cartoon Studies MFA Graduate (2021) and their comics work is playful, colorful and often utilizes unconventional materials.
Filipa seeks to create stories that draw from their mixed Cape-Verdean/Macanese/Portuguese heritage & blend the everyday with myth, magic and wonder. They believe anything can be improved with a little bit of glitter.
