Greg Means runs the micro-press publisher, Tugboat Press, which under his watchful eye released seventeen issues of the best comics anthology ever created: Papercutter! Now Greg focuses his energies on an annual free comics anthology, Runner Runner, and the occasional beautiful comic book for sale.
Greg is also a comics maker in his own right, as creator of the long-running autobiographical comic, Clutch. His most recent book, Cute Girl Network was co-written with MK Reed, and drawn by Joe Flood.
Greg is a real hero of mine. His comics have a unique, entertaining and very thoughtful voice, and for Clutch alone he should be held in high esteem. But I admire Greg for devoting so much of his time promoting the works of other comics artists, and giving them a platform to shine. His work through Tugboat Press has provided such a service to the alternative comics community, no recognition or award could ever be fair compensation.
