Luke Howard is an illustrator, cartoonist, and print maker living in New Orleans, Louisiana. He is currently working on a self-published ongoing comic series called Dead-End Rob, which is about friends, family, ghosts, death, and a sleepy desert town. His 2016 mini comic Extragalactic received an honorable mention in the Comics Workbook Composition Competition, and he publishes journal comics in a zine called Abandon Ship. When he’s not making things it can usually be assumed he’s playing D&D, Organizing the New Orleans Comics and Zine fest (NOCAZfest), or tinkering with old copy machines.
Luke’s comics tackle life with all of its messy complexities through a clean illustrative style. Each story is multi-faceted, using interesting super-natural premises as a platform to talk about modern society, always with a good dose of humor. A skilled illustrator, designer and printer, Luke’s comics are as pleasing to hold as they are to read.
