Description
Isabella Rotman tells both a visually and emotionally dark story, with an unreliable narrator bear. Freed from captivity, the bear is now lost with an abundance of options, but no reason to pursue any of them, so it digs a hole to be alone. It claims it doesn’t need anyone, but then longs for a companion just as lonely as it is.
Isabella’s drawings of the sometimes lonely, sometimes ferocious, but always cute bear are stark and wonderfully rendered. Perfect for those times you are both perfectly happy to be alone, and are terribly lonely at the same time.

“A great example [of how] a couple simple choices like format…makes for a much more potent, emotional take away.”
