Description

The fifth and final issue of Jason Viola’s Herman the Manatee (though there are a few strips that follow this comic that end the series online)!  Like issues 2-4 issue 5 is a mix of one-page gag comics which develop the characters of Herman’s world, and longer-running stories which carry along a loose plot.

In this issue, Knuckles and Lester, Herman’s ne’er-do-well friends get entangled in a seahorse-trafficking operation, which Herman warns will only lead to terrible consequences.  For one in Herman’s life he’s right.  What will become of Herman & his friends?

As the series has progressed, Jason’s writing has honed itself, and issue five is the strongest of the series.  Though full appreciation comes from reading all five issues.
