Description
When the humans have left the house, an intrepid squirrel reporter interviews a retired champion racing greyhound. Now adopted by a loving couple, the greyhound talks about his experiences and the traumas of greyhound racing, and adjusting to his new life as a pet. Â The comic subtly suggests too, that the interview may be as therapeutic to the dog as it is informative to the squirrel.
Cara’s drawing skills are at full display here, capturing both the squirrel and the dog in a lot of great poses.  Though the greyhound’s story is told in broad strokes, it includes enough details to make it personal and thought-provoking.  Cara has produced a beautiful and well-crafted comic that is both whimsical and sobering.
A portion of the profits from this comic will be donated to greyhound adoption organizations.
