The maps and charts return in issue three of Kate Brideau PhD’s sketchbook zine, Maps & Diversion. Visually, this is the strongest issue of the series, with striking colors and large images. Kate includes several used stencils, which create an interesting juxtaposition between hard-cut edges and the sloppy remnants of dried paint.
The maps in this issue seem to be primarily from Kate’s time spent in the United Kingdom. The charts & notes dance both next to, and within sketches. Check it out!
