Radiator Comics Conversations

Radiator Comics invites a new host for each installment of Radiator Comics Conversations to craft a panel on the topic of their choosing with the guests of their choosing.

Crossing The Panel Border: Multidisciplinary Cartoonists
Marc Bell, Tana Oshima, and Matthew Thurber in Conversation with Drew Lerman
Tuesday, September 1, 2020 8:00pm EDT

In their absurdist and poetic comics, Marc Bell, Tana Oshima, and Matthew Thurber are always in deep conversation with a host of artistic and literary traditions. It comes as no surprise that all three artists have engaged in many of these traditions directly, producing works of gallery art, literary translation, experimental cinema, rock music, poetry, prose, and more. South Florida cartoonist Drew Lerman will moderate the discussion about the different opportunities and challenges these artforms create, as well as the ways they influence and communicate with one another.

Archived Conversations

•From Rags to (TV) Pitches, The Winding Road from Indie Publishing to Commercial “Success” July 21, 2020
