Kate Brideau PhD
Kate Brideau is a media scholar and writer, who likes shapes and patterns and brains. She teaches media and design classes, and writes about typography, diagrams, Vilém Flusser and other serious and absurd things.
Kate is one of my four siblings, and if* we were a family of bank robbers, she’d be the brains of the operation. Throughout her life, Kate has leapt head-first into academic studies, but also grew up consuming popular culture and making the best mix tapes. So while working on her dissertation at NYU, she started self-publishing zines that are both seriously serious and oddly odd.
Kate also posts photos on her tumblr, Living Among Numerals. Check it out.
