Description
In Haper Sim’s Tin Crown No. 1, two designers go out for drinks to blow off steam at the end of the work week. Drink after drink, the bills add up, and the friends get more and more drunk, until in a shaky fog, they are separated, and one of them intersects with someone who has had a very different kind of night.
The two main characters are hardly protagonists, their concern for their neighborhood is purely superficial as they careen from bar to bar. When one of their drinking hits its peek, and one of them ends up passed out in the snow, the least likely resident of the neighborhood comes to his aid.
Heavily design-oriented, Tin Crown plays a lot with form, color and typography in a story that feels less like a clear narrative, and more like the fuzzy memories of a long night of drinks.
