Fizzle follows a moment in the life of Claire, a 20-something stuck in a dead-end job, and a dead-end relationship, until she finds a passion in making tangy ice pops! Whit captures the angst and frustrations of new adulthood and expectations through natural dialogue and engaging moments in Claire’s story.
In issue five, Claire and her co-worker Jaime visit Jaime’s grandmother’s urban farm. The romantic tension is high as they spend the day together. Meanwhile, we are treated to a reminder of happier times between Claire and her actual boyfriend, Andy.
