Jason Viola is the author of the popular webcomic, Herman The Manatee - which ran online from 2008 to 2012. His comics often focus on phenomena of the natural world -marine life, cellular science, botany- and how they reflect modern society which, despite all our efforts, is still also a phenomenon of the natural world.
