Description
Blackstar by Robin Rowe is an autobio comic about grief following the death of the author’s father. It explores the dissociative effect of grief, and how the author feels like they lose themself in the memories of their father’s death. It contains references to death and implied drug overdose.
Through beautiful cartooning, Robin evokes the sudden shock the unexpected loss of a family member can inflict. Though it depicts just a few minutes in Robin’s life, Blackstar unfurls so much of Robin’s family’s past and future.
