Description
Cambridge Chronicled by Barbara Thomas and Timothy Wall collects comics about parenting their biracial son in the largely white liberal city of Cambridge, MA. Barbara and Thomas navigate birthday parties, visits to the park, and finding a good school for their son. Often their biggest challenges are culture clashes with other parents and their racist assumptions about their family.
All of the stories within simultaneously confront systemic problems while laughing at precarious social situations. Quick gag comics break up the longer full-color essays about parenting. These comics are an opportunity for parents to guffaw at ridiculous stories about modern parenting.
This volume collects Cambridge Parents Chronicled and Cambridge Schools Chronicled as well as comics from anthologies and new comics.
