Description

Carta Monir’s mother and Lyle Partridge’s father have both passed away, entering Carta and Lyle into the Dead Parents Society. The two comics presented here work through the emotions surrounding their parents’ deaths. Sadness, pain, anger, humor, insecurity, guilt.

On one page, Carta asks “What is the point of this book?” Maybe Carta and Lyle were expecting something from drawing and publishing these comics, and maybe they gained something from it. We gain perspective on life, death, and mourning regardless of our current membership status in DPS.
