I Hope This Finds You No. 17 collects Kevin Budnik’s daily diary comics from October 2024 through the end of the year in a new quarterly format. Of course, the U.S. Presidential Election happened, and Kevin reflects on it in several poignant entries. But Kevin also focuses on so much more, his family, his cats, his own comics, moments of nostalgia, travel anxiety and being kind of drunk and lost in a graveyard.

We are continuously impressed by the novel use of a daily comics diary practice Kevin employs, in which ideas and stories can carry over from one day to the next—rather than sticking to what happened on the particular day. We are big fans of finding ways to keep up a comics practice and continuing to enjoy it, and not feeling stuck to unnecessary rules or expectations. Kevin seems to continue to enjoy putting pen to paper every day, and that keeps us coming back to the pages.
