Tana Oshima travels through her thoughts of being considered a foreigner everywhere she goes in the minicomic, Vagabond. Raised in several different countries, speaking several different languages, Tana feels she can’t hold a claim to any nationality or culture. But as Tana travels through a dreamscape, she starts to think about how we all feel a sort of inauthenticity.
Tana’s drawings are full of mysteries: Tubes and windows that lead who knows where. Landscapes devoid of people, but strewn with litter implying many people have been there. Figures lurking behind corners. Your eyes and mind will explore the hazy corners of Tana’s enigmatic drawings!
