Description
In Blood Doughnut, a wordless comic from Will Powers (Space Wolf) we follow a mysterious vampire who lives on a private island where he does all the things that vampires like to do: play synths, experiment on demon-bats, stargaze and eat doughnuts. It is inspired by Will’s childhood love of drawing hideouts, cross-sections, and vampires who may be up to no good but are always the most interesting character in their story.
Will’s lighthearted and earnest comic about finding joy in the things you do (and eat!) is beautifully Risograph printed from watercolor and ink artwork. Blood Doughnut has a beautiful texture and atmosphere perfectly suited to the esoteric protagonist. Each page is a complete artwork in it’s own right and Will’s playful storytelling and world building is a joy to behold.
