Description

If I Were a Sandwich by Kit Fraser is a graphic memoir dipped in daydreams capturing fragments of a moment in which Kit became a sandwich, caring for both her newborn baby who was diagnosed with bilateral hearing loss, and her father who simultaneously underwent major heart surgery.

Kit’s comic reflects how memory works, fragments connecting to one another, not in a linear path, but in a way that still makes sense. Kit’s approach to the subject matter of advocating for the health of those you love is full of concern, and humor.
