Description
Scoot is a 14-page journal-like risograph comic zine made by Cam McCafferty. The comic uses soft, dreamy illustrations as metaphor for all of the confusion and pain involved in being a transracial adoptee: because of, in spite of, and alongside the imperfect love of everyone surrounding adoptees. The comic is dedicated to being honest and transparent about the adoptee experience, in which honesty and transparency about pain or struggle is often frowned upon or called into question.
