Description

Sports: A Travel Journal by Ben Passmore follows up on the city of Philadelphia seven years after the events in Sports Is Hell. The zine collects the contemporaneous notes of reporter J. Cruz, sent into the war-torn city by VICE/Wendy’s Media Group. Philadelphia is the home of a war between the separatist militia formed around the Birds football team and a US-backed Great White Sharks football team/army, but as he explores the city, he finds fragmented factions all eking out an existence.

Just as biting as the graphic novel, Ben’s story of a reporter in a second civil war in the U.S. is distant enough to feel funny but close enough to feel scary.
