Description
The Audra Show is back for its seventh issue. This time, Audra splits the comic in half, telling both a fictional story of unrequited love, and an autobiographical story of finding comfort in television when your home life is difficult.
In 2008, Adelaide and her friend Bernie are trying to navigate the social minefield of junior high in Star Valley, GA. Adelaide’s secret crush on Bryce isn’t going the way she’d hoped.
In 2006, Audra was obsessed with American Idol and one singer in particular. It’s a source of comfort, imagination, and expression while Audra deals with an abusive father.
Audra’s energetic cartooning is always a real joy to read. Her focus on drama and difficult subjects in this issue show the strength of her storytelling.
