Description

Mike Centeno confronts his hang-ups about body image, skin issues and mental health through gross-out humor in The Cutaneous Adventures of P.L. Dermes! Originally serialized in the Chicago Reader, Mike’s protagonist is dealing with a lot pimples, pustules, rashes and other unidentifiable bumps. P.L’s life is presented in a traditional four-panel strip, poking fun at self image, depression and human flaws.

Certainly not for the weak, The Cutaneous Adventures of P.L. Dermes is irreverent and irrepressible in its pus-themed jokes and pointed critiques of modern culture.
